“Can I use this as a backup for pictures on my phone I want to use this device not just to save files from my pc but also to save photos and videos from my Galaxy Note6. I do not want to pay for more cloud space with Verizon when I could use an external hard drive.”

• Yes. If you plug your phone into your computer and transfer the photos and whatever else you want to the drive it will work. I don't think it has a wireless feature to do straight from your phone to the drive.

• This is work wonderfully. You will be able to store everything you need. If you have a Bluetooth adapter on your computer you can actually send your pictures or videos directly to your hard drive via Bluetooth. Good Luck.

• This product can be used to backup photos from a phone if an adapter is used and the phone is OTG compatible.
