“How do I install Acronis True Image WD Edition? I purchased the 4TB MyBook. Internet listing and box indicate WD Smartware Pro and Acronis TrueImage WD edition comes with the product. The Smartware product wants an activation code to upgrade or enable "Pro". There is no install files for Acronis True Image. There were no activation codes in the box.”

Call WD support or get your serial number and product number and head to their support page. You should be able to download the software from there or get from support. Honestly, I would buy the very latest version directly from Acronis, just Google some coupons or codes to reduce price and stay up to date with versions...it only improves. Keep in mind that you will want to pre-encrypt any personal or sensitive data if using the cloud, just in case they get breached and have access to your data. It's a recommended practice. Cheers

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had to down load both, as nothing came with my MY BOOK. Drive was blank, not even formated. I downloaded Acronis and Smartware Pro. I have purchased both but will be using only WD SmartWare. I know SmartWare has a 30 day trial. Acronis I bought. These type of tools or software, are normally purchased separately. I have never seen them bundled.
