depends on how much data you have and how frag'd the drive is. my 1TB could take an hour or more depending on the fragmentation. this could take a bit longer :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Defrag speed depends upon percentage of how much is fragmented, size of files, and number of files. Sorry, there is no fix answer to this. But with USB 3.0, it is fast, if your computer has a true 3.0 port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This drive is 5400 rpm, hence the low cost. Average defrag speed varies immensely with the fragmentation level, but it is fair to say a hard drive like this (5400 rpm, less than $150) will not be incredibly fast. These drives are designed for capacity, not speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope, only about 5000
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The average defrag speed would be determined by how much data is on the external drive and how you chose to connect it to the computer. (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0) and also how fast the computer is that it's attached to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To defrag with an I7 and say 25-50% of the drive space used would take in the area of 20-30 min depending on your system and how fragmented the drive is.
