You must have iTunes program on both computers. But you can have music library on this drive. Just go into iTunes on both computers with the drive attached and add the WD drive as a location iTunes looks for. Also make sure to disable iTunes automatic downloads. Otherwise it will try to copy all the files to iTunes folder on both computers.
