Is the ram upgradable? null

Yes. I would suggest at least 4 TB using Western Digital Red NAS drives. Also the RAM can be upgraded but it requires a Youtube video full dissassembly instruction

Yes I had one 4 tb hard drive later I purchased another 4 tb drive and now the raid is setup. note back up your drive before setting up the raid.
