You can purchase another NAS device. They can mirror each other or configure them as one big drive. Opening the box up to install a bigger drive may not be wise. If you feel that you may need a bigger drive than purchase a larger device or a device with another open bay already there. You may want to look into the MyCloud Home Duo. It already has 2 bays.
