• Yes. TB is backward compatible with older USB specs. But you will not get the faster TB speed of course

• Hi, The WD My Passport external hard drive comes pre-formatted for Windows OS. We have tested this hard drive with windows OS and macOS. The drive comes with a USB 3.0 cable to connect with the computer. We never recommend using any USB Hub or adapter.
