It's all located on the hard dive, or at least it was for me. Just plug it into your computer and you'll see!

I just purchased the same hard drive. There was no software or instructions needed, it’s just plug and play type of accessory. Instructions are Pretty straight forward plug in to your USB port on your cpu or laptop and save and or transfer files over to the external hard drive.

I just plugged it into the back of my Mac Mini and it worked. I then set it up for use with Time Machine in System Preferences.
