• This will work fine. If you are only using it for Mac, make sure to format it in the correct format. Apple usually asks you to format it in their specific format especially if you want to use it for Time Machine Backups. Time Machine will erase everything on the disk.

• It comes formatted as exFat. exFat is compatible with Microsoft and MacOS. If you want to use time machine you'll have to reformat it for exclusive Mac use.

• It will work on MAC or PC. You need to remember to have it formatted correctly. If you partition the drive you can use on MAC and PC. But if you want it just for MAC make sure you use disk utility to format it to MAC OS Extended (Journaled).
