Q: QuestionWill this unit work connected to a computer running on linux (ubuntu)?

• A:Answer This unit is formatted in NTFS which is the Windows partition format. Ubuntu can read NTFS but Windows cannot read the Linux partition format. I don't think the software that comes preinstalled on this drive will function with Ubuntu but you can probably find some other software to backup data for you. • A:Answer Yes, but you have to make sure there are no hidden partitions on it, and formatted to FAT32 or exFAT. Then, you can use it for backups.
