• A:Answer As long as it is formatted as fat32 it will work for both operating systems. This can be done from the file explorer in windows or disk utility on osx

Q: Question1. I have iMovie software on my apple desktop. If I copy the iMovie events files from my desktop to 'My Passport' drive, can I just connect the drive to my Apple laptop and play the movies events on my Apple laptop with iMovie software?

• A:Answer The short answer is yes you can. I do this with 95% of my video clips to keep my desktop drive free with space. Is just depends on where your current video files are saved. Could be all inside the iMovie database in you finder >> movies folder or could be on your desktop. Either way you can reconnect the video files if you move them to the external drive.
