Will it work on smart Samsung tv for movies? null

I have not plugged this in to my samsung TV but i assume that it will work because I have plugged this drive in to my LG 60" TV with no problems.

I've used the My Passport with my old 2011 Samsung Smart TV and it works fine. You should be able to use it with your smart TV as long as it is in a file system format compatible with the TV, such as NTFS, which is the default factory shipped file system.

Typically, large external storage devices do not play well with devices that play movies or music straight from the external storage. This can be solved by either formatting the storage or partitioning it into smaller drives.
