Please try again later.Yes absolutely, it is an extremely high speed NVME solid state, so if you do not have a more recent Macbook Pro that can take advantage of the USB3.2 capabilities you might consider saving yourself some $$ and going with a standard SSD. By default it is a USB-C connection, but comes with a USB>C adapter. As for what platform it works with, it will come down to how you format it. I have this drive and another self-built NVME external drive - both manage 800MB/second and more without a sweat. (yes, that is Mega Bytes per second) Since you are running on a portable my only warning would be that they get quite hot compared to other drives of their kind, so I suggest considering mitigation options for that when using in a travel scenario.
