A booster doesn’t create cell signal. It picks up the outside cell signal (no matter how weak) and amplifies it inside your home for better talk, text, and data. The effectiveness of any booster depends on the strength of the outside cell signal. With this in mind, the Home Room would most likely only cover a small room. For better coverage, we would recommend a stronger booster like the weBoost MultiRoom (Best Buy #6364298) or weBoost Home Complete (Best Buy #6355244).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your situation sounds a lot like mine. My service floated between no service and 1 bar that would allow texting sometimes but rarely a phone call. The device did not work for me. After installing and getting it aimed at the nearest tower, i got 2 and sometimes 3 bars but if I was more that 5 feet from the indoor antenna, it lost the signal. I'm moving up to the next level unit...(multi-room). If you can mount your outdoor antenna on a pole or tower to elevate it some and aim it at the nearest tower it just might work
