“Why do I need this if there is anti-virus protection already built into Windows 10”

If you are using windows AV you don't need this on your computer.

I use windows defender which comes with w10 on my desktop. Have been using it for 1 1/2 years with no problem. This free program is only good for 6 months then you have to pay. I will install it on my new laptop, but only for the six months. Then I will go to windows defender and uninstall this "free" software.

I don't use it on my laptop since Windows 10 has a virus protection built it. I do use it on my android tablet.

Windows 10 does not keep up to date on the latest viruses. I lost a hard drive that way. Webroot has saved my computer from attack on several occasions.

Extra protection, yes true Microsoft does come with its own protection. WebRoot province the extra protection that windows won’t cover.

Windows only updates its virus database when you do a windows update, which means any viruses that came out since your last update can infect your computer. Webroot updates their database immediately

I had added it for additional protection. The antivirus that comes with the 10 I’m not sure of it. Unless it’s Webroot
