Wemo works on its on app. Is not compatible with the hue app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not need the Wemo plug with the Hue system. The Hue bulbs are a self-contained system that turn on and off on their own at the light itself. You want the power to the lights to be continuous so you wouldn't want the power turned off at the outlet like this plug is meant for. You could either have a lamp with a Wemo plug or a Hue bulb but you wouldn't want both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure, but I don't see why not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Isn’t the Hue system already remotely controllable? Do you actually need another layer of switch there? You could certainly use a WeMo outlet or switch to control the power to the Hue. Then the question would be how the Hue boots up when power is restored. Does it remember the last setting? Does it default to “off” or some other setting? You could try that by just unplugging the Hue and plugging it back in after a few minutes. If that works as desired, a WeMo can certainly control the power on and off.
