No hub is necessary for this to work with Alexa. You need to enable the Wemo skill under the Alexa app and once you have installed this Wemo WiFi plug, you have to discover in your Alexa app. Then it should work flawlessly.

When we get to the drive, we turn on the lights with the phone app so we don't have to enter a dark house. You can do this with the phone app, no mater where you are. We've done this from over 200 miles away just to see it works. It does.

Please try again later.no hub necessary....just download the WEMO app and set things up that way then create groups or just one unit in the Alexa app. You create names for everything in WEMO app and then in the groups in Alexa app you create other names like turn on "the family room" and then tell Alexa to turn on light(s)
