When setting up the plug it should give you will need to log in to your network and it should give you the choice to select the band.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wemo has partnered with Apple HomeKit as the bridge. Wemo like most other automation works on 2.4 because of the extended wifi range. That however has nothing to do with your bridge compatibility. The Wemo’s will work with the Wemo app. They work great with Apple HomeKit. We use Apple TV 4th gen as our bridge. We do not use Google because of the many breaches. Since Wemo has joined Apple, I would suspect compatibility with Google Home will not be supported to much longer by Google. Just from reading the reviews and problems people are describing with Google. Wemo works flawlessly with Apple HomeKit.
