ROKU STICK BETTER THAN 24" SMART TV? null

From the perspective of being able to use other streams (beside Netflix, Vudu, and Hulu), probably the answer is yes. I use a Firestick on a "dumb" 24" Insignia from BestBuy, an it works well for Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, etc. My Vizio smart tv has a couple dozen apps, but doesn't have any for Sling, etc. -so I'm disappointed with it from that perspective. OTOH, you can always add a Roku or Fire to one of the HDMI ports of this or other smart TV and get the same result as a dumb tv with the added device. So, if you don't pay extra for the smart features, then it's not a bad choice as you may not need an added device if the tv happens to have apps that you like.
