• Geez, I haven't tried it and am not where we have this TV/DVD combo, but my guess is that it does. Regardless, this unit is a deal for the money. Two thumbs up.

• To be honest, I don't know, BUT I know all dvd players that I ever own, separate or combine, has always had the ability to play CDs. I've never seen a DVD player that didn't play CDs. That would be weird. I'll double check just in case.
