“Someone said the Westinghouse DOES NOT have buttons on the TV for manuel operation. Is this true? It seems silly to make any appliance work only with a remote.”

• This is not true. The TV does have buttons on it. I have two of these and my brother has one as well. You do not NEED the remote to use the TV.

• The 39.5" only had a power button this has a control panel. YEA

• There are indeed control buttons on the lower right hand corner to operate the set without a remote.

• tv has volume +- channel +- menu, source and a power button on the unit. you should be able to go into the menus and change things without a remote.
