My newly purchased Westinghouse 49 inch tv, model number WD49FB1018, has awesome speakers, really surprised us. We found no need for our external speakers,

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has its own speakers and really, they're not too bad for sound quality. But I just added a soundbar and of course the sound is much improved. Depending on the soundbar and its connection type, the TV has a headphone output which can hook up by way of a mini phone jack to RCA stereo adapter or the TV also has a digital audio output, which is preferred in my opinion if the soundbar has such an input. Some do, some don't. Hope this helps.
