• This unit will accommodate to flat, curved or recessed back TV's. However, it only accommodates most, not all.

• Please note that per another reviewer under Reviews, he was able to mount a 65" curved panel TV with absolutely no problems or instability issues. I believe the description states 'flat panel tvs' to refer to the format only. The curved screen tvs are still basically 'flat' except for the two side edges and the back side of the screen/tv is 95% flat surface. I don't see a problem. Will let you know if this is not true once the stand is delivered and I can mount my 55" curved Samsung TV on the mounting frame.
