I have a pair of Polk tower speakers standing at each end of mine, but my set is a 55" so I have room to spare. If you wanted to do something similar, you'd just have to move them a few inches further apart. But you're well under the weight limit so I don't see any other reason why it would make a difference.

My tv is a couple inches wider than the console and it does not look funny/ out of proportion since it is mounted on the bracket as well. If it was sitting on the top shelf I believe it would not work but since it is mounted it is not noticed

No it doesn't matter if you put it on the back mount, as long as you don't go over the weight limit
