“Does this unit have to vent out the top or wall? Or can it vent into the room like the vent I’m replacing”

User: Dontbuythis is full of misinformation! The unit can vent into the room (recirculating); the intake is through 2 charcoal/grease filters on the bottom & it vents out on top right behind the door. It can also be setup to vent horizontally through the wall or vertically through the roof. It comes out of the box setup for recirculation. The instructions DO NOT make this clear! If you simply want to vent into the room, don’t touch a thing! Also, dontbuythis keeps insisting the bulb is not replaceable, or that it will be $150 to have a new board put in. This is ridiculous! The halogen bulb is easily replaceable in both the over (one screw) and underneath (4 screws) and they are readily available online and in some stores.

You won't be able to simply order another bulb because the unit requires that you have a technician come out and install it. This unit is made in China and is not supported in the USA.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can vent out the top or into the wall if you have a vent leading outside. However, It sticks out far enough from the cupboard where it vents out the top. Thats how I’m using it.
