“Does a buzzer make a sound to indicate that the wash cycle and/or the dry cycle has finished? If so, can that buzzer be turned off or can the sound be turned down? They can be pretty loud sometimes.”

Hello Rose! Yes, this model does have a buzzer and can be muted. Per the Use and Care Guide: End-of-Cycle Signal: Press and hold the plus (+) button for 3 seconds to enable or disable the end-of-cycle signal. Press and hold the minus (-) button for 3 seconds to mute the signal.
