A:Answer There are two heating elements in this oven besides microwaves.
There is a resistive heating element in the left wall with the circulation fan that gets the oven hot, and there is a light bulb-type heating element in the top.
During air frying, the top element (which is close to the food when you use the air fry basket) shines down to make the food crispy.
You can see the main heating element glow red while it's heating, and the top element lights up the microwave while its on, but I think it produces a lot more heat than it does visible light.
There is a regular light that is on while the oven is cooking, but when the top element kicks in, it gets a lot brighter inside. It's very obvious when it turns on.
