Q: QuestionIs the interior surface if this microwave stainless steel - polished?? Or is it a rough surface that looks like stainless steel? We are worried if it wipes off easily for any spills and splatters. This is critical information before we can order.

• A:Answer This oven has two different heating elements, not counting the microwave feature. There is a resistive heating element in the left wall, and a lightbulb-type heating element in the top. I haven't baked a cake, but it does a great job baking cookies!

Q: QuestionI'm a little confused. There was a response that says this does NOT have a heating element. Without a heating element how does it "air fry" and toast? I need some clarification on how this is going to make food crispy using only microwave heating.

• A:Answer There are two heating elements in this oven besides microwaves. There is a resistive heating element in the left wall with the circulation fan that gets the oven hot, and there is a light bulb-type heating element in the top. During air frying, the top element (which is close to the food when you use the air fry basket) shines down to make the food crispy. You can see the main heating element glow red while it's heating, and the top element lights up the microwave while its on, but I think it produces a lot more heat than it does visible light. There is a regular light that is on while the oven is cooking, but when the top element kicks in, it gets a lot brighter inside. It's very obvious when it turns on.
