• the refrigeration compressor is located at the right rear lower corner viewable thru a square opening. this is not a "ventilation" opening. the heat exchange process (ventilation) is by way of the exterior metal of the freezer cabinet.

• Hi Deb8, the WZC3115DW does not have a "vent", but we do suggest during installation you leave a 3" gap on each side and 2" in the back for proper airflow so the sealed system can cycle air as needed. Hope this helps!
