Q: QuestionWhat shape ice does this machine make?

• A:Answer I have this machine in my CA home, and I love it. The shape on mine is flat thin squares. They fill glasses nicely with plenty of ice. My previous machine was a Scotsman and I much prefer this machine to that one.

Q: QuestionI have a 6yr old model WUI75X15HZ00 installed under counter. The icemaker has stopped working. It has a custom panel on the door to match my cabinets. Will this unit accommodate the custom panel if I ordered it as a replacement?

Q: QuestionThere is a problem with the water source at the desired location, in the event the water supply is interrupted and the machine is ON, will it automatically shut off the machine if it doesn't have water going in???

Q: QuestionCan you describe the drain location on the machine? My existing drain is centered in cabinet opening. Center of pipe is 2 ½ inches from the back wall, and 2 inches above the floor.

Q: QuestionI have a whirlpool ice maker 15" in counter. When the water try fills, it overflows a lot of water and drains where the melted ice would go. It there a reason it overflows. It uses a lot of water. Model # WUI75X15HZ00

• A:Answer That is normal, but there is a tube on the bottom of the water container that directs the water down the drain avoiding melting of the ice. That extra water is how it flushes the water with more what are now more concentrated minerals in it to to get ready for making the next batch.

Q: QuestionCan this unit be used in a Pool House that is not conditioned? Similar to a garage? It does stay cool in there, however.

• A:Answer If the room stays below 80F or so it could be fine. It makes less ice per day at higher temps and uses a little more power, and lets a little faster, but so long as you keep the unit cooling fins clean, and the humidity low enough to keep from damaging the machine it should work well enough.
