Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can. When I ordered the freezer I was looking at another model that fit through the standard interior door but it was out of stock. I ended up ordering this one which had the same capacity but didn't realize it was 1" too wide to fit the door (and still too wide if turned side ways). However, you may not need to. The installation team actually didn't have to remove the unit door, they just opened it up (so with the door open, the unit had an L shape). They angled the door in first, then pushed the freezer in sideways (which was now about 2" thinner depth-wise and could now fit through the door). One caution - the door is NOT reversible. So if you want the door to swing out in a specific direction you need to state that in your order so you get the correct unit.
