• Hello SSG978! Per the parts list on this model, it is a 30 watt bulb. Which is different from the exterior bulb. The Interior bulb part number is 8206443. Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.

• The Whirlpool over-the-range microwave is 1000 watts. Not sure about the type of light bulb, but it is definitely NOT the same as a exterior cook-top light bulb.
