“We have an older Whirlpool model - WMH1164XWS - that broke. Wondering if we could use the old mounting brackets, etc., with this model? Trying to assess how easy of a job this would be. Thanks. Dimensions are almost identical, but not exactly.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Brackets change from model to model. I had this one installed by Best Buy, very good service and install, but my last one I installed myself. Microwaves come with a great paper template that you use to mark new locations if needed. Was not hard at all to put in the new bracket with the use of this template.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.While I'm not sure about this particular model, I found that I was able to replace a model from 2008 while using the original mounting bracket. The top mount also lined up with where they were on the original unit.
