“I would like to buy it for the garage, but I am wondering if the warranty will still cover it? I was told that the manufacture warranty and/or any purchased warranty won't cover the fridge if I put it inside the garage because it is not "garage ready".”

Just spoke to the Geek squad three years after this question and they did not believe this about Whirlpool warranty. I am asking about a Whirlpool washer in the garage. Whirlpool says they will not cover it. I asked if the Best Buy Warranty would. They say I have to get permission from Whirlpool for Best Buy to cover the washer. I would like to buy the best buy warranty but not if I cannot use it.. I was told this was some law that for a year Best Buy cannot touch it.

Please try again later.The manual states: "This refrigerator is intended for use in a location where the temperature ranges from a minimum of 55 degrees F to a maximum of 110 degrees F. The preferred room temperature range for optimum performance, which reduces electricity usage and provides superior cooling, is between 60 degrees F and 90 degrees F. Language for both the 1-year and 2-5 year warranties stay in effect as long as "this major appliance is installed, operated, and maintained according to instructions".
