The fan is extremely noisy, so much so had to return the fridge. Mine was freestanding, but if you have it surrounded by cabinets maybe it wouldn't be as bad.

I have had this frig 5 weeks. We have water softener system which is harder on dispensers so we opted to turn it off although we do keep ice in the door bin. With that being said, the frig is quiet. It is running without any issues we read about in reviews. It is beautiful. Had a mark on a freezer shelf and on the removable dispenser grate but Whirlpool customer service shipped out replacement immediately. As a matter of fact, I found them to be excellent !
