“Should the styrofoam in the Fresh Flow compartment located on the the upper left side inside the fridge that houses the air filter be removed prior to putting in an air filer in? If it should be removed, can you detail how? Thanks!”

• Hello GISH! Do not remove the styrofoam from that area. That is suppose to be there. Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.

• I got a ''no'' answer, but someone should edit the manual which states "when the cover is removed for the first time, (the) small foam piece will need to be discarded.''

• This is supposed to be there. It is part of the product for air flow. Don't remove it :)
