Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes we did it ourselves. The hinges have to be moved from one side to the other and the screws and bolts have to be moved over, and in the case of the bottom hinge switched, as they are flat head bolts for the hinge and hex head bolts on the non hinge side. Remove all shelves from the door. Remove the top hinge first and remove the door and set it aside. A socket wrench and hex socket is recommended, much easier than a wrench. The bottom hinge has a plastic cover over the protruding stud that the door fits into. You pull off this plastic cover (don't loose it!) and then you have to remove the stud with a wrench as it's threaded into the hinge and has to be screwed onto the other side of the hinge as the hinge is reversed when you move it to the other side of the fridge. Then put the plastic cover back on the stud after you have moved and installed the hinge on the other side of the fridge. Install/hold the door onto the bottom hinge (you will probably need someone to hold the door for you, although if you close the door the magnetic door seal will likely hold the door in place well enough) then install the upper hinge using the two back holes in the hinge that were used on the other side, and the other front hole that was not used on the other side, as the hinge has three bolts and 4 holes to make it reversible. On the top hinge there is lots of foam insulation in the holes you are moving the hinge to, so dig out the insulation as best you can with a screw/nail etc., and make sure the bolts start properly (not cross threaded) and use the socket wrench to tighten (these are hex head bolts) which is a bit tight because of the insulation still in the threads of the bolt holes. I don't remember the socket size but it is SAE, not metric which is nice. Hope that helps! It's not hard to do however I am very experienced and have plenty of tools. I hope the above explanation helps those who are mechanically challenged.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can switch the door hinge from the right to the left side. Best Buy switched the hinge and handle upon delivery. So now the handle is on the right and the hinge is on the left. You should let them know before delivery. They had to redeliver the refrigerator because the first delivery men didn't have the correct tools to move the hinge and handle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I had the installer switch my door to the other side so it wouldn't hit the counter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can! The salesman at the store even asked which side I wanted it on before ordering so that it met my needs.
