• The black stainless does not show smudges. We have had a black stainless Whirlpool refrigerator for over a month and don't see smudges on it. They will let you try to smudge one in the store.

• I Have the black stainless,but fingerprints or grease stains kind of stay on it so you have to wipe them off as soon as you see them. Read your manufacturers instructions on how to clean it is very important
