“I am already tapped into a water line and have a 1/4" screw on connection ready for a hose. Do I need to buy the hose too and is the refrigerator ready with its own screw on connection to make a simple connection?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sorry, but am not sure. I did not watch as the delivery crew hooked up unit using the metal mesh jacketed connector hose. I believe the extra hose length afforded by the flexible hose makes it easier to connect the plastic hose on the unit to the water supply if you do not have access to the back of the unit from the side--if it is sliding into a compartment.
