QuestionI have never owned a dishwasher with controls on top of door; does the door have to be closed to choose wash cycle or are you able to choose cycle and close door to start?

QuestionHow energy efficient is this dishwasher? what is the star rating and does it save on energy usage, for example what is number of Kwperhr used in a normal wash? 3.5 hours seems very long for a normal wash?

- Answer The long cycle times are the most efficient, but I don't have numbers for you. What this has that is great is a fast wash that actually gets dishes clean in 58 minutes, at the price of some more water and energy use. But, sometimes, that is just what you need.
