• It wasn’t necessary because the installer replaced an existing Whirlpool wall oven of the same size.

• Yes, the contractors are removing a drawer to be able to install the double oven. They will add a little something to the bottom where drawer was to get the right height for oven. Then they will add a small piece on outside to cover any area that leaves a gap.
