“My dishes and inside the dishwasher smells like dirty mop water after washing them and there is water in the drain cup which I manually have to push drain after its done… What is wrong? I’m worried I am going to get sick from dirty unsanitary dishes.”

The first thing we suggest, is rebooting the Dishwasher either at the breaker or unplug if it's not hard-wired, for 90 seconds. Don't go over 90 seconds.
