• According to the instructions; Yes. But you must make sure the ice maker function is I disabled while the water is disconnected

• You can buy this model and it works just fine without hooking up these features. It includes a tub for ice if you want to make your own and store the ice. I love this refrigerator. It is roomy and stores a lot. I chose it because the water and ice were inside allowing for a clean door and more room on the inside.

• Bobio, yes the water line can be disconnected. It does not need to be connected during install.
