“The red #H2O light went on but this fridge was bought May 2019 and it is only October 2019. Is there a malfunction for the filter to need changing so soon? Also the water is not cold despite fridge and freezer being cold”

I hit the reset button and get another few months out of it. I live alone and need only to change the filter annually.. If you've got a passel of kids, likely 3 months would be normal.. As to the water temp, if it gets cold after the first glass, you're good. If it never gets cold= bad
