“The length of time to do a load of laundry in this machine seems unusually long, like almost an hour when set to do a "Normal" cycle and "Medium" soil level. Why does it take so long to finish?!”

I suspect its the "sensing" feature, to determines the appropriate water level based on load size, it keeps starting and adding water when necessary, very loud.

Cycle times vary depending on water pressure in the home, load size, amount of detergent used etc. The unit also has a soil sensor, which would sense the soil on the clothing. Which in return would adjust the time. The time in the display is an estimated time only and may adjust. Thank you for your inquiry on our Whirlpool appliances.
