There is actually a bedding/ sheet setting. Yes, it can handle it and the comforters comes out nice and clean. I would recommend this washer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Due to different sizes, styles, and fills of comforters it is hard to determine which ones will or will not fit. Filling material will vary from one brand to another and it is difficult to determine if a specific one will fit. Deep water wash does allow for extra water to penetrate synthetic fabrics, the main component of comforters. We hope this helps some.

Please try again later."It handles my sheets/blankets/comforter well" is not helpful without knowing how many of what size sheets and how many of what size AND type of blankets/comforters/spreads." Manufacturers' answers are not helpful without at least information such as weight and bulk guidelines. 1. A friend told me her front-loader does a great job on everything except microfiber throws (like a crib-size blanket) - which it can handle only one at a time because they absorb so much water and it isn't removed by the front-loader's process (that a traditional washer removes by spinning). 2. Repair & sales people tell me that different types of internal mechanisms have different responses to the weight of the load. Repair & sales people tell me some types of machines must not be filled more than 3/4 full without reducing the life of expensive parts such as transmissions and motors. These people tell me their are even more specific guidelines than this 3/4 full limit. For instance one sales person at a neighborhood appliance store (not Best Buy) told me that a comforter with synthetic filling can be packed more tightly than most loads of laundry, because the water will compact it, leaving more water to swish around in the cleaning cycle. PS We have used a Geek Squad Tech for my desktop PC and a Geek Squad Tech about our washing machine and dishwasher, and we found them absolutely outstanding in explaining to us what was wrong and what the options were. We had the computer fixed when I was sure it would have to be replaced. I know enough about computers and my husband knows enough about major appliances that we could judge the excellence of the information and advice we received.
