“I’ve had my washer for about 7 months and now my load will drain but not spin and I noticed I can hear the lock for the lid repeatedly clacking as if it’s trying to lock but can’t. Not sure what to do..”

I just left a review of our washer and saw your note. I’ve had a lot of problem with my Whirlpool washer and had to call service several times. Ours would go out of balance when trying to spin and it would eventually stop leaving the clothes wet. We would have to manually adjust the clothes and do a spin cycle to finish the load. What a pain. After hearing a grinding noise like metal on metal, we eventually called service and they came out. After four service calls they replaced every moving part which seemed to fix the problem with the load going out of balance. You should call for service before the 12 months is up so they can come out and do diagnostics. They will test each cycle. Good luck.
