QuestionI recently installed this cooktop. The burners have been very frustrating to cook on. They go off and on randomly. Can I replace these with normal coil elements that don't go on and off?

- Answer This is how electric cooktop coils function. They don't heat at a particular exact temperature; instead, they fluctuate between "on" and "off" to regulate a standard temperature. It works the same way on standard Glasstop cooktops.

QuestionMy RCA Whirpool stainless steel cooktop is quite old. The left front burner (the small one) cannot be used because the turner for that burner popped off when I went to turn it on one day. Can a new turner be installed or must I buy a new cooktop.?

QuestionWhat is the purpose of the ring bells in the center of the coils?

- Answer They're not bells. The button just makes a bell sound when you push down and release. The buttons work like a sensor for safety purposes when a pot or pan are placed on the burner coil and when removed the button pops back up to detect nothing is on the burner, resulting in the coil shutting off.
