• A:Answer I agree and have the same issue with this cook top stove. My other (old) stove had a large burner in the front and that is the burner which got used for most of my cooking. I don't like having the two small burners in the front but are forced to cope. Another reason I don't like the large burners in the back is the fact that when I am using the large burners in the back it seems to create more heat in the surrounding area and causing the exhaust fan auto fan to come on and stay on high for a long time. I waited too long to return it and now I am stuck with a stove I am not completely satisfied and stuck with.

• A:Answer Hi Mikey! The cut out dimensions are a 28⁷⁄₈" by 19¹⁄₂" space for this model; please note that you must also allow for a minimum of 8" space before walls on wither side of the cook top as well as 2⁷⁄₈" before the back wall and 3¹⁄₈" before the counter top edge. This model's cast iron grates are hinged for easy and convenient cleaning! Thank you for your question!

Q: QuestionI understand this is the whirlpool version of a similar cooktop by Amana with sealed burners but the specs for this Whirlpool say the burners are NOT sealed. Can you corfirm?

Q: QuestionWe need to install the cooktop over a wall oven. When the specs have a depth measurement, what are they measuring? We measure only 3.5 inches under the counter.

Check the cooktop base approved installation label for your cooktop model number and approved combinations of cooktops and ovens that can be installed.
