Hi Ali, The grates may be cleaned in the dishwasher. Remove any burnt-on food prior to placing the grates in the lowest rack in the dishwasher. To avoid chipping, do not bang grates against each other or hard surfaces, such as cast iron cookware. Although the grates are durable, they will gradually lose their shine due to exposure to high temperatures.
