Q: QuestionMy current stove is over 45 years old and uses a pilot light to ignite. Will I have to hire an electrician to install wiring to accomodate this cooktop, since it has an electrical ignition?

• A:Answer Hi Ali, The grates may be cleaned in the dishwasher. Remove any burnt-on food prior to placing the grates in the lowest rack in the dishwasher. To avoid chipping, do not bang grates against each other or hard surfaces, such as cast iron cookware. Although the grates are durable, they will gradually lose their shine due to exposure to high temperatures.

Q: QuestionIt says there is no power chord included. I'm assuming for the igniter to function (must run on electricity?), the unit has to be plugged into an outlet. If that's true, it seems strange none is included, but more important, where can you get a chord?
